Starting School
Starting school is an exciting time for young children and their parents. It can be a daunting time, too.
We believe that with a little preparation and encouragement, most children will settle in easily and happily at school.
We have prepared some helpful tips for parents and carers to support their child's transition into school:
September 2020 admissions - Early Years children ONLY
Home Visits
Whilst we would have liked to have visited our new children and their families at home before they begin school, we are not able to plan our usual home visits this year. However, we will be offering school visit appointments instead. These visits will take place on Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September and will consist of a 20-minute appointment in school for parents and their child to meet on a 1:1 basis with their new class teacher.
Starting school
Our Early Years children's first day at school will be Monday 7th September.
We want to make sure that your child’s start to school life is a happy and positive one and therefore there will be a gradual increase in school hours during the first few weeks (please see table below) to help them settle in and become familiar with daily routines.
